教學目標
學習詢問時間的方法，并能就課文內容進行表演。
本課重點
掌握Give it to…和詢問及回答時間的基本句型“What’s the time？It’s…”
本課難點
詢問及回答時間。
學法引導
1．教師教法：借用實物引出新詞，設置情景教授新句型。
2．學生學法：本課學習重點是對話，要認真反復跟讀錄音，做熟練朗讀，能在相應情景下使用適當的句型對時間做出問答。在問時間時，可以用“What’s the time？”和“What time is it？”來表達，只是疑問詞不同，一個是“what”另一個是“what time”，在表達時間時，用it表示時間，不用漢語逐字翻譯成：The time is…
給大家出個練習的方法，別怕難為情，到那些涉外飯店或外賓較集中的地方，假裝沒戴表，追著老外問：Excuse me，what’s the time，please？大部分人一定會熱情幫助你的，既練習了口語又練聽力，快去試一試。
教學用具
錄音機，投影儀，圖片，一個包、幾件顏色各異的衣物等。
教學過程
Step1 Revision
1．用實物或圖片復習有關衣物，學習用具和顏色的單詞。
1）出示八張顏色卡與學生對話。
T：What colour is it？
S：It’s red／blue／yellow／black…
2）教師將準備好的包拿出來，包內裝有幾件顏色各異的衣物，分別搭在講臺邊上，問：“Look at the clothes．The are on the clothes line．Whose clothes are they？What colour are they？”讓同桌兩人就此談論1分鐘，并叫2－3組起來表演問答。
2．復習教室內物品名稱及文具名稱，然后讓學生做談論誰的物品的“Chain drill”，然后可讓2－3組學生起來做，賽一賽哪組又對又快。
：What’s this？
：It’s a pen．
：Whose pen is it？
：It’s mine. (to SC) What’s that？
：It’s an erase．
：Whose eraser is it？
：It’s hers．
Step2 Presentation
拿一個表，問學生 What’s this? 介紹新詞“watch”。然后看著表說：What’s the time? 告訴學生幾點了，并把時間的數字寫在黑板上。接著指著自己的手表說，Look, I have a watch. It’s new. Is it nice? What colour is it? 把watch 這個單詞寫在黑板上，待學生會讀這個單詞后，對一個學生說，Can you look after my watch? 轉而向另一個學生說，Please give my watch / it to 某某（剛才那個學生）。把give … to寫在黑板上，通過動作讓學生猜是什么意思。再用其它同學的手表或衣物、學習用具等，反復練習句型Can you look after … 和 give it to … 及其答語。
Step3 Look，listen and repeat
SB Part1 把書上的第一幅圖用投影打在屏幕上，放錄音，學生邊看圖邊聽，接著再投影其它幾幅圖。
Step4 Read and act.
把學生分成5人一組，分角色表演本課的4段對話內容。
Step 5 Practice
復習數字1-60。然后在黑板上寫出一些時間，如：7:10, 7:25, 8:30, 9:50, 11:45 等。（也可用鐘表或卡片）然后提問：What’s the time? 或What time is it ?注意學生容易說成What’s time要反復練習。
Step 6 Consolidation
1．聽寫。將正確答案寫在幻燈片上，聽寫后先找幾個學生念出自己的，再出示正確答案。
A：Whose watch is this?
B：It’s mine．
A：Oh. That’s nice. Is it new？
B：Yes，it is．
A：You must look after it, Give it to Mr Hu．
B：OK．
2．Chain drill讓每組第一名同學拿起后面一位同學的一樣東西，模仿上述對話進行操練，并一直進行下去看哪組又快又正確。
Sa：（to B）Whose is this eraser/ pencil/ book…？
Sb：Is it a white / blue/ red…one？
Sa：Yes，it is．
Sb：I think it’s mine. Yes, it is．
Sa：Here you are．
Sb：Thank you very much. (to C) Whose is this book/ cup…？
Sc：Is it a…？…
3. Do workbook.
Step 7 Exercises
I．英漢互譯

II．補全對話

Step 8 Homework
1．將本課單詞和詞組讀熟背會。
2．依照Part 1的對話，口頭建立一個對話。
3．將Workbook Ex．l和Ex．2做在作業本上。
4．準備一個帶指針的鐘面。
5．讓每位學生都準備至少20張時刻卡，表示不同時間（如：7：15；1：3o等）。
